We’re hiring an SEO Lead to own and scale organic growth for an AI-driven healthtech product. This role sits at the intersection of technical SEO, programmatic SEO (PSEO), content strategy, and AI search optimization.
You will lead our organic acquisition strategy across both traditional search and emerging AI discovery surfaces. That includes building scalable SEO systems, identifying high-intent search opportunities, improving technical foundations, and helping our product and content show up where users increasingly search for answers.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set strategy, execute independently, and work cross-functionally with product, engineering, content, analytics, and clinical/compliance stakeholders.
What you’ll do
• Own the SEO roadmap and organic growth strategy for an AI healthtech product
• Build and scale programmatic SEO initiatives, including page templates, taxonomy, internal linking, and content workflows
• Develop strategies for AI SEO / answer engine optimization, improving visibility across AI-assisted search and discovery experiences
• Partner with product and engineering to improve crawlability, indexation, site architecture, page speed, structured data, and overall technical SEO health
• Identify high-value keyword clusters, content gaps, and scalable landing page opportunities tied to user intent
• Create and refine SEO-driven content briefs, on-page recommendations, and content optimization frameworks
• Establish measurement frameworks for organic traffic, rankings, conversions, assisted revenue, page efficiency, and content ROI
• Run SEO experiments and use data to prioritize what to scale
• Collaborate with clinical, legal, or compliance stakeholders to ensure content meets quality and regulatory standards appropriate for health-related topics
• Monitor search ecosystem changes, including Google updates, AI Overviews, and evolving search behavior, and adapt strategy accordingly
• Manage external freelancers, agencies, or contractors as needed
What we’re looking for
• 6+ years of SEO experience, with strong ownership of growth outcomes
• Proven experience leading or heavily contributing to programmatic SEO initiatives at scale
• Strong grasp of technical SEO, including crawling, rendering, indexation, internal linking, site migrations, schema, Core Web Vitals, and log-file thinking
• Experience with AI SEO, answer engine optimization, or optimizing content for AI-assisted discovery environments
• Strong analytical skills and fluency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker or similar BI tools
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams, not just editorial/content teams
• Ability to move between strategy and execution without losing momentum
• Excellent communication skills and strong judgment around prioritization
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to have
• Experience in healthcare, digital health, telehealth, wellness, or other YMYL categories
• Familiarity with content quality frameworks relevant to health content, including trust, expertise, and review processes
• Experience partnering with clinical, legal, or compliance teams
• SQL, Python, or other data skills for deeper SEO analysis and automation
• Experience with marketplaces, directories, large-scale template systems, or UGC/content-heavy products
• Experience building SEO reporting tied to pipeline, activation, or revenue rather than traffic alone
