Position: Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer with strong backend engineering expertise and excellent English communication skills. The ideal candidate must have hands-on industry experience, the ability to work in both structured and dynamic environments, and a solid understanding of modern backend architecture and transformation strategies.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java technologies
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
Participate in system architecture decisions and performance improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Ensure code quality, testing, and documentation standards are maintained
Provide technical input on system modernization and transformation initiatives
5 to 7 years of real-world experience in Java backend development
Strong understanding of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend architecture
Experience working in both structured and unstructured environments
Hands-on exposure to AI development tools (e.g., Cursor AI or similar)
Strong conceptual understanding of system design and software architecture
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
Candidates should be able to confidently explain:
How to transform a desktop application into a web-based system
Migration strategies from monolithic architecture to microservices
Real-world challenges in system scalability and modernization
Backend performance optimization approaches
The client will evaluate candidates primarily on their practical experience and conceptual clarity.
Net Salary: PKR 480,000 – 500,000 per month (paid via remittance, no tax deduction)
Annual Leave: 12 paid leaves per year
Option to increase leaves to 16 per year with adjusted salary of PKR 460,000
National holidays included
